Fresh Whipped Cream

This is a very basic whipped cream recipe! It is simple, creamy and slightly sweet. It makes the perfect topping for so many drinks and desserts that it deserves it’s own post!

Ingredients:
1 cup heavy whipping cream
2 tablespoons icing sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions:
1. Place the mixing bowl and beaters (or whisk attachment) into the freezer for at least 5 minutes. Meanwhile, measure out the ingredients.
2. Add the heavy whipping cream, icing sugar and vanilla to the cold mixing bowl. Mix on low-medium speed until slightly thickened. Gradually increase the speed to high as the mixture thickens. Beat just until stiff peaks form. Do not over beat!
3. Store the whipped cream in an airtight container in the refrigerator. This is best used same day but I’ve personally had it last a few days in the refrigerator without deteriorating.
